Preheat oven to 160c.
Combine flour, sugars, oats and coconut in a large bowl and mix.
Whisk together water and baking powder. Add vegemite and whisk until there is no lumps left. The baking powder might foam up here - this is normal.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter with golden syrup. Mix frequently.
Add vegemite mixture - if baking powder didn’t foam up before then it will here. Remove from heat immediately and pour onto dry mixture.
Mix with a spoon until dry ingredients are hydrated but don’t over mix.
Lightly grease a baking try with a tiny dollop of butter.
Using a tablespoon, scoop batter and roll into a ball with your hands then flatten into disks.
Cook in oven for 14 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Don’t over cook - biscuits will continue to cook slightly once removed from the oven.
Allow to cool on wire rack for 30 mins.
